Human Endocrine Glands and Their Hormones

Endocrine glands are the ductless glands which pour their secretions directly into the bloodstream. Secretions are called as Hormones. The human endocrine system consists of major glands like the pituitary, pineal, adrenal gland, pancreas, testis (in the male), and ovary (in female), thyroid, and thymus. Here is the list of the major endocrine glands and their hormones.

ii) Vasopressin
2. Thyroid gland i) Tri-iodo-thyronine (T3)
ii) Thyroxine (T4)
iii) Calcitonin
3. Parathyroid gland Parathormone
4. Thymus Gland (Lymph gland) Thymosin
5. Adrenal or suprarenal gland i) Glucocorticoids i.e cortisone
ii) Mineralocorticoids i.e aldosterone
iii) Sex-steroids i.e Progesterone,estrogen and androgens
iv) Adrenaline
6.  Pancreas i) Glucagon
ii) Insulin
iii) somatostatin
7. Testis Testosterone
8. Ovary i) Estrogen
ii) Progesterone
